Engine (Power)

Two engines are available to power this exceptionally efficient SUV. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged intercooled three-cylinder premium gas engine granting 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. The second is a 2.0-liter turbocharged intercooled four-cylinder premium gas engine providing 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard at all trim levels, as is an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport can tow 2,000 pounds with the 1.5-liter engine and 2,400 with the 2.0-liter engine. It can carry 923 pounds of cargo with the 1.5-liter and 1,163 with the 2.0-liter. It has a maximum cargo area of 32.5 cubic feet or 65.2 cubic feet with the seating area included. The shock absorption system on this SUV is extremely effective, making it more off-road capable. The front suspension system has the independent strut format, while the rear system features short and long arm independent suspension. The front format grants superior traction, stability, and ride comfort. The rear format can handle more ride stress than most suspension systems, allowing this Bronco Sport to take on obstacles its competitors can't handle.

Interior

Interior convenience features include an HVAC system with under-seat ducts, an air filtration system, cloth upholstery, an exterior temperature gauge, an illuminated cargo area, a compass, FordPass Connect 4G internet access, six-way adjustable front seats, cruise control with steering wheel controls, a day-night rearview mirror, and one-touch up and down power windows. Convenience options include a proximity key with push-button start, metal-look interior trim, a larger charging bank with three 12-volt and two 120-volt outlets, vinyl floor trim, and voice-activated air conditioning.
