Models with the smaller four-cylinder engine can reach a speed of 60 mph in approximately eight seconds. Models that sport the larger V-6 engine can hit 60 mph in approximately six seconds. In addition, the Edge features decent fuel efficiency at 21 city mpg and 28 highway mpg for four-cylinder engine versions and 19 city mpg and 26 highway mpg for the V-6 engine models. The interior of the Edge is comfortable, roomy, and features loads of headroom and legroom for passengers. Additionally, cargo space is abundant in the Edge, with 39.2 cubic feet of space available behind the rear seat. Drivers can fold down the rear seats to expand cargo space to 73.4 cubic feet. Base versions of the Edge feature cloth seat upholstery, while upper-level trims include more cushion in the seats, as well as leather upholstery. In addition, the Edge SEL and higher trim levels sport heated front seats. Ford offers a power liftgate as standard for upper-level trims of the Edge. In terms of technology, the 2022 Edge includes, as a standard feature, a large 12-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities.
