It's that time of year again, folks! The Medford community is gearing up for an annual Fish Fry in conjunction with the 2023 Youth Hockey Tournament, and this year promises to be one for the books. With hand-breaded or broiled Cod, homemade coleslaw, your choice of potato (baked, cheesy potato, or potato salad), and bread, there's something for everyone at this event. As the clock strikes 4:30, the doors of the Simek Center open to a flood of fish-hungry enthusiasts. The scent of crispy, golden-fried Cod wafts through the air, making stomachs growl with anticipation. The Medford community has been buzzing about this event for weeks, and it's finally here. As you step up to the counter, you're greeted by friendly faces and the sound of sizzling fish. You can practically taste the crispy batter as you place your order for the hand-breaded Cod, a side of homemade coleslaw, and a cheesy potato. The volunteers are busy at work, plating up steaming hot meals with lightning speed. For those who prefer a lighter option, the broiled Cod is equally delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, it's a healthier alternative without sacrificing any of the flavor. And let's not forget about the sides! The homemade coleslaw is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, while the cheesy potato is the ultimate comfort food. If you can't stay and dine in, no worries! The Medford community has you covered with carry-out options. Take your meal to go and enjoy it in the comfort of your own home. And what's a Fish Fry without a little bit of hockey action? As the night progresses, the cash bar is open, and the hockey game starts at 5:30. Cheer on your favorite team while enjoying your delicious meal and supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event go to much-needed upgrades to the Simek Center. As the night draws to a close, the community is filled with a sense of satisfaction. Stomachs full, hearts happy, and the Simek Center one step closer to its upgrades. The Medford Fish Fry is not just a meal; it's an experience. An experience that brings the community together, supports a great cause, and leaves everyone with a smile on their face.

The thought of a transmission repair is scary for many drivers, as they immediately imagine a huge repair bill. In most cases, repairing a transmission can be quick and inexpensive. The key to a scare-free repair is contacting your Ford dealer as soon as you notice something wrong. Your transmission will always give you a warning that it's in trouble. These are some of the problems we need to repair immediately if they occur. Delayed Shifting Your transmission shifts according to the dictates of your transmission computer. The computer analyses vast amounts of information to determine exactly when and what position the transmission should shift into. Once it's decided, the movement should be smooth, and the transmission will remain in that position until it's shifted again. One of the signs of a failing transmission is a delay between the transmission shifting and the gears reacting to the shift. This isn't particularly noticeable when it starts, but it will become more pronounced as time passes. One of the main reasons for this delay is a lack of transmission fluid. This fluid provides the hydraulic power that enables the gears to shift. We'll examine your transmission and fix the problem. Burning Rubber Smell Transmission fluid provides several essential functions in transmission. As we've seen, the fluid provides hydraulic power for the gears. This fluid also helps to reduce the temperature in the transmission and to protect components against friction damage. Transmission fluid needs to be replaced at regular intervals, or it will develop problems. The old fluid becomes more sluggish, and it absorbs dirt and other debris in the transmission. The older fluid is less able to protect parts against friction, and it loses its heat-resistant properties. The fluid can overheat in the high temperatures inside the transmission and start to burn. Burning transmission fluid produces a foul smell. If you smell burning rubber, call us right away. We'll flush the transmission and refill it with fresh fluid. Your Transmission Won't Shift A transmission that won't shift is a serious problem, as it means your car can't move. Your engine will continue to work, but an unresponsive transmission will prevent the power from reaching the wheels. A transmission can fail to respond for several reasons, including a lack of transmission fluid, a broken clutch linkage, mechanical damage, or a failure in the transmission computer. Our technicians will connect your car's computer to our diagnostic system to determine the exact cause of the problem. Once we've identified the cause, we'll fix it. If your transmission is showing any signs of trouble, call our service department right away at Medford Motors, Inc.

If you're thinking about buying a new car, you might be wondering if financing is right for you. There are plenty of great reasons to consider getting car financing directly from your official Ford dealer. Here are just a few of the many benefits you'll find. 1. Know You're Getting the Best Rates Before you get financing for your car, it's important to do some research first. Knowing where the best place to get your car loan from will ensure that you have the best experience. Your dealership is prepared to offer you the best rates and incentives for your car loan. If you want to ensure that your monthly payments are affordable and that the entire process is smooth and simple, visit your dealer's financing department. 2. Afford a Better Car Thinking of buying your car in cash? While this might seem like a good idea, know that you're going to have to make some big compromises. You may not be able to purchase the vehicle that you've spent so long thinking about. Instead, you might have to go with a cheaper model with fewer features than you'd like. This is another great reason to get financing. Since you'll only be putting down a portion of the car's total cost as a down payment, you can splurge a little more and get a vehicle you're really going to love driving. 3. Maintain Your Savings When you run into emergencies or when you need to make major purchases, your savings account is there for you. But if you're paying for your car in cash, then you're going to have to take quite a bit of money out of your savings account. Instead, consider getting financing and putting down only an initial down payment before paying your car off in increments. This will allow you to keep building your savings for other purchases you might need to make in the future. 4. You'll Build Your Credit Score A high credit score makes it easier to get things like mortgages, loans, and even jobs in some situations. If you have a low score or even just an average one and you want to boost it, a car loan can help. That's because car loans are easy for almost anyone to get. By paying your monthly payments on time, you'll show potential lenders that you can be trusted with their money. If you're looking to purchase a new vehicle, financing is a great way to set yourself up for financial success while also affording a high-quality car. Are you ready to learn more about our financing options? Get in touch with us at Medford Motors.
