The Taylor County Lions Maple Festival takes place Saturday April 29th. The festival has live music, craft vendors, and of course, plenty of maple treats. The event will run from 7 AM – 4 PM and is free to the public! The crafts and display exhibits will be open from 7:30 AM – 4 PM featuring items produced by the maple tree!
One of the highlights of the festival is the pancake breakfast, which is served with fresh, locally sourced maple syrup. This breakfast is a great way to start the day and get in the spirit of the festival. Visitors can also take a tour of a local maple syrup farm and learn more about the process of making maple syrup.
For those who have a sweet tooth, the maple candy-making demonstration is a must-see. Visitors can watch as expert candy makers transform maple syrup into delicious candies and other treats. 3 Signs Your Ford Needs a Radiator Repair
Your engine’s health depends on your Ford’s efficient cooling system to control the heat in the engine compartment. Excessive heat buildup can result in major, even fatal, engine damage. The radiator is a vital part of this cooling system, and any wear or damage will inevitably cause problems for your car. These are a few signs that you need to visit your Ford dealer for a radiator repair.
Damaged Fins
The front of your radiator is converted into rows of thin aluminum tubes that provide a large surface area for cooling. The heat from the engine is captured by liquid coolant flowing through your engine. The coolant is pumped into the radiator where it separates into the tubes. Air flowing in through the radiator grille passes over the tubes and removes the heat via heat exchange.
The tubes are delicate and can be easily damaged by grit, sand, or any other hard objects drawn in through the radiator grille. As more tubes are bent or otherwise damaged, the surface area for cooling is steadily reduced. Once enough tubes have been damaged, your radiator won’t be able to cool the hot coolant, and your engine will overheat. We may be able to repair the tubes, or we’ll replace the radiator to fix this problem.

2023 Fish Fry in Medford, WI
It’s that time of year again, folks! The Medford community is gearing up for an annual Fish Fry in conjunction with the 2023 Youth Hockey Tournament, and this year promises to be one for the books. With hand-breaded or broiled Cod, homemade coleslaw, your choice of potato (baked, cheesy potato, or potato salad), and bread, there’s something for everyone at this event.

As you step up to the counter, you’re greeted by friendly faces and the sound of sizzling fish. 2023 Youth Hockey Tournament in Medford, WI

One of the standout features of this tournament is the variety of competition levels on offer. With Squirt Level B and Pee Wee Level B and C divisions, teams will be matched against opponents of comparable skill levels, ensuring a level playing field and competitive games. This setup also allows teams to gauge their progress against others in their skill bracket.
10th Annual Maple Festival 2023
Welcome to the 10th Annual Maple Festival hosted by the Taylor County Lions, known as Maple Fest! This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Simek Recreation Center located in Medford, Wisconsin.
Since the Sugar Maple is the Wisconsin State Tree, the festival will highlight the various attributes of the Maple tree, including Maple syrup production, Maple-flavored food products, wood crafts, tourism, and green space beautification. The festival will offer various events throughout the day, such as Maple syrup judging, cooking with pure Maple syrup, and Maple syrup tapping techniques. Additionally, the Chequamegon National Forest is home to many Sugar Maples, and Taylor County boasts numerous “Sugar Shacks” that process Maple syrup.

Transmission fluid provides several essential functions in transmission. As we’ve seen, the fluid provides hydraulic power for the gears. This fluid also helps to reduce the temperature in the transmission and to protect components against friction damage. Transmission fluid needs to be replaced at regular intervals, or it will develop problems.
The old fluid becomes more sluggish, and it absorbs dirt and other debris in the transmission. The older fluid is less able to protect parts against friction, and it loses its heat-resistant properties. The fluid can overheat in the high temperatures inside the transmission and start to burn. Burning transmission fluid produces a foul smell. If you smell burning rubber, call us right away. We’ll flush the transmission and refill it with fresh fluid.
