A radical departure from massive engines and bulky designs, the 2025 Ford Maverick hybrid AWD and its FWD counterpart are the only hybrid compact pickup trucks in the U.S. market. The bed offers a generous 33.3 cubic feet of storage space by default, but you can lower the Multi-Position Tailgate into a flat position to fit even bigger payloads. For comparison, its closest competitor, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, only offers 27 cubic feet of storage space in its pickup box.

If you need to tie down longer items like 4×8 sheets of plywood, the Multi-Position Tailgate can be locked half-closed, aligning perfectly with the wheel wells. When hauling a mixed payload of smaller items, the truck bed can be divided into segments by positioning 2×4 cut pieces at the sidewall pockets. The truck bed also features a cubby storage compartment at the XLT trim level and above to stow items like toolboxes.


Advanced Driver Assistance Technology

All Ford Maverick models come equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360. The suite includes several driver assistance and safety features, such as pre-collision assist systems, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a backup camera.
